I am a doctorate researcher at The John Innes Center where my work focuses on increasing vitamin D₃ levels in tomatoes 🍅 through precision gene editing 🔬 and investigating the bioavailability of the biofortified Vitamin D₃ in humans.

I find joy in working on challenges to better our societies and making scientific breakthroughs through my research. Growing up, I have found inspiration through my mentors like my grandfather who have shown me invaluable lessons 💫 that I have taken with me into my life’s work and hope to positively impact the communities around me.

In my own time, I enjoy blogging, running, good food, and an unhealthy dose of Kenyan tea 🍵.
